Every Company conducts an HR interview round to judge your personality, your strengths, your weaknesses, your capability to handle the role, to check your background, and to understand if you’re the right fit for this job. The HR round is generally the last round in the recruitment process of any company.

1. Tell me about yourself ?

My name is vaishnavi Bacchewar and I am very ambitious and love to interact with new people.I grew up in Nanded. Currently I am pursing B.Tech in computer science and engineering from COLLEGE NAME. I choose computer science because of the passion I have for learning new technologies through which I also believe that I have the opportunity to optimally utilize my full potentiality. I have maintaining 8.44 CGPA till the 6th semester.

I have learnt C, Python, Web development, DBMS, MYSQL, DS. I have done certification in python and web development. All these languages help me in executing my major and mini projects. I have attended few seminars on the latest technologies like IOT, Cloud Computing, Machine lerning and I have also learned how the applications of latest technologies will impact on world around us. Apart from this I am technical member of CSI in which we organized different workshops on technologies in a team. I have also knowledge about UML that serves a great way of creating professional documentation which is a necessary part of any project development in the real world. I totally believe in planning and executing.

Within 2–3 years I want to see myself upgraded.For that I am constantly working on my ethics, skills and behaviour etc. Since my passion is towards learning new things I would like to join in reputed organization like yours to gain exposure, apply the skills and grow as a professional, which will be an ideal start to my career.

This is all about myself and if given an opportunity to work I will give my 100% commitment and deliver what is expected of me, Thank you.

2. What are your strengths and weaknesses ?

Strengths

My strength is I am a very bold, self-motivated person, quick learner, honest towards my job with a positive attitude.I am good team player with good grasping ability having problem solving and analytical problem solving skills.Attention to detail and totally belief in planning and executing.

Weaknesses

My weakness is I can’t say no when people ask me for help, believing everyone.I can’t change task immediately.I am way to detail oriented. I tried to complete everything. I just want everything to be perfect but then I realized that I am loosing my own time so may be that makes me submitting the project is pretty late. I can do single task with perfection,rather than multiple tasks.

3. Can you perform under pressure ?

Most of the times, the job of software development is that of working under pressure. Sometimes, it will be the pressure of delivering on time or complete your task within given time.So, expect pressure in everything you do. It is important to maintain your performance and develop strategies to deliver under pressure. You can then go ahead an talk about your way of dealing with pressure and performing under it.

Relate with a problem which looks real: My mother was not well and my father was out of station during my exam. I had the pressure of Exam and I had to take care of my mother also, but still I performed well and I managed to get x% in 10th/12th/Graduation.

4. Why do you want to work at our company ?

I am a great team player with positive attitude. It would be a great honor to work with one of the most reputed organization. I’m sure that I’ll learn many more things and will surely work with the team members and do my best. If given the opportunity to work , I will give my 100% commitment and deliver what is expected of me.

5. Are you willing to relocate or travel ?

For the right opportunity I am definitely willing to relocate. I believe that this position and company is that opportunity. Yeah, It will be cherry on cake because I love travelling. So a new place, new friends, a new environment and new working location. It’s amazing because I think that change is necessary, and I believe in change.Yes, I’m ready to relocate. It will give me a good experience.

6. Where do you see yourself five years from now ?

After 5 years, I would be in more professional and better than what I am now. I also would like to lead the team and make an ideal for my team members. And also be make myself confident and trustable employee as a company expect from me.

7. What are your career options right now ?

As a fresher candidate my career option right now is to gain more knowledge and earn experience from new new challenges and to upgrade myself according.Sir, right now I am interested to join a reputed organisation like yours & use my technical proficiency & gain practical experience.

8. What are your outside interests ?

I love travelling because it creates an opportunity to meet new people. So, I like to travel.I love experiencing nature. Going out for walks and experiencing it. I believe nature is one of the masterpieces. ! And I love watching documentaries.

NOTE: You should always highlight the qualities to which interviewer should feel they are useful and impressive for their company.

9. How do you feel about working nights and weekends ?

Obviously, Company’s growth is employees growth, Whenever a company needs me, I will be there either in nights or weekends.I like to work and also a fresher so I need to explore more working skills inside me.

Note : Don’t say no , they just wanted to check your patience level.

10. What are your salary expectations ?

As of now, I haven’t thought much about it. I’m more focused on learning the requirements for this position that I am applying for.

11. What motivates you to do good job ?

Responsibility towards work motivates me the most, and my aim within any company is to move up with greater levels of responsibility to achieve each goal with better responsibilities. I just like to learn new things.

12. Would you lie for the company ?

It totally depends upon the situation. If lying is the last option to tackle the situation for my company I have to do it but only if it is the last option, otherwise I will use my creativity and knowledge to deal with the situation because in life we always have the second option. We just need to find it out.

14. Being an ECE/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil students why do u want to Join Software Industry ?

Although I belong to an Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics background over the course of four years I have discovered a strong passion for coding and would like to work in the same field since one should do the work they enjoy. Moreover here, us saying we have passion is not enough we must justify the answer by letting them know about the particular fields/languages we have developed our passion in and do not be scared if they ask you a few questions about it just to confirm what you are saying is accurate . So don’t even try to bluff with the word “passion for coding”.

15. What is the difference between hard work and smart work ?

HARD WORK : GIVES EXPERIENCE.

SMART WORK : COMES FROM EXPERIENCE.

What is the difference between confidence and over confidence?

“ I can do it “- confidence, “ Only I can do it “- overconfidence.

“ I am suitable for this job “- confidence, “ I am the only one suitable for this job “- overconfidence.

“ Trusting yourself “- confidence, “ Underestimating others “- overconfidence.

A person is confident when he know the fact better, A person is overconfident when he know the facts better than others.

16. What are your expectations from the company ?

In short, be realistic and precise.

I have from a long time wanted to work with an IT company which treats its employees in the best way it can. I have always wanted to work with an organization which provides a very comfortable and home like work environment and when it comes to Company Name I find that both the requirements are fulfilled. Even requirements I can hardly imagine are met, most importantly I get the opportunity to learn and enhance my skill set to become a better professional in the future.

17. Is there anything which makes you different from other candidates ?

Again…Be realistic

Yes, there are lots of things which distinguish me as an individual. Every individual is different. But if you ask about positive qualities in me, then I would say I am a team player, quick learner and have some leadership qualities. Though these thoughts are objective to individual and can be known better when you know me as an individual.

18. What quality do you think a leader should have ?

There are many qualities that a leader should have but to name a few, a leader should be able to coordinate a team, he should have excellent understanding of people and their behavior at different points of time, he should be able to find people he can depend on, he should be able to be distinguished in a crowd of people, he should be able to instruct a group of people, he should be dominant and many more are there.
